Douglas County Local Business Alliance™ (DCLBA) Membership Terms of Service

1. Agreement Overview
By enrolling in any membership package offered through the Douglas County Local Business Alliance™ (“DCLBA”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, which govern your participation as a member. DCLBA is operated by AAERO LLC, a Colorado-based, privately held company. All services are provided on a month-to-month basis and are subject to change with notice.
2. Eligibility for Membership
To be eligible for membership, your business must meet the following criteria:
- Be 51% or more based in Douglas County, Colorado
- Operate in alignment with DCLBA’s Mission to support, promote, and advocate for local, independent businesses
- Agree to and uphold the DCLBA Code of Ethics (see Section 5)
3. Membership Packages and Payments
Membership is offered in tiers as detailed at https://douglascountyco.com/lba-packages/. All memberships are:
- Month-to-month unless otherwise stated
- Non-refundable, though you may cancel anytime before your next billing cycle
- Billed through AAERO LLC
Late or failed payments may result in temporary suspension or termination of benefits.
4. Member Participation Expectations
As a DCLBA member, you agree to:
- Attend member events when reasonably possible to build relationships and strengthen the local business community
- Support and promote fellow members in good faith
- Engage in outreach activities that educate the public on the importance of supporting local businesses
- Respond to Alliance communications in a timely manner
- Stay active within the community and notify us of major business changes (relocation, ownership transfer, etc.)
5. Code of Ethics
By becoming a member, you agree to adhere to the DCLBA Code of Ethics:
- Respect Other Members
Treat fellow business owners and members with professionalism and courtesy in all public and private settings. - No Public Defamation
Refrain from disparaging or speaking negatively about other DCLBA members, either publicly or in private forums. - Ethical Business Practices
Resolve customer complaints honestly, transparently, and in alignment with ethical best practices. - Douglas County Priority
Maintain your primary business presence (minimum 51%) in Douglas County, CO. - Participate in Community Building
Make a good faith effort to attend events, collaborate with other members, and help strengthen our local economy. - Promote Local First
Use your voice, platforms, and reach to encourage residents to shop, hire, and support local businesses whenever possible. - Support Advocacy Efforts
When possible, contribute to advocacy campaigns that benefit local businesses (e.g., signage ordinances, permitting reform, economic incentives for local-first businesses).
Any violations of the Code of Ethics may result in review by the DCLBA leadership team and, if necessary, suspension or termination of membership.
6. Termination of Membership
You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us in writing. AAERO LLC reserves the right to:
- Terminate or suspend membership for violation of these Terms or the Code of Ethics
- Modify or discontinue membership benefits with 30 days’ notice
Termination does not entitle members to refunds.
7. Liability and Disclaimers
DCLBA provides a platform for networking, visibility, and advocacy. We do not guarantee specific business outcomes. AAERO LLC and DCLBA are not liable for disputes between members or between members and third parties.
8. Modifications
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be communicated via email or posted publicly. Continued participation after any updates constitutes acceptance.
